Fire-cracker, fire-engine
Fire-flicker red –
And when you’re angry
Red runs through your head.

Red is an Indian
A Valentine heart,
The trimmings on
A circus cart.
Red is a lipstick
Red is a shout
Red is a signal
That says, “Watch out!”
Red is a great big
Rubber ball.
Red is the giant-est
Colour of all.
Red is a show-off,
No doubt about it –
But can you imagine
Living without it?

Kao savršena glazbena inspiracija za Valentinovo ovoga puta je došla na red mlada engleska pjevačica Rebecca Ferguson koja je postala poznata javnosti po svojem sudjelovanju u sedmoj sezoni poznatog britanskog reality showa The X Factor. Osim što je stekla milijune poklonika i zamalo pobijedila, pružena joj je besplatna glazbena promocija na svjetskoj razini. Publici se krajem 2011. godine predstavila albumom "Heaven" te singlom "Nothing's Real But Love". Video spot za njezin najnoviji singl "Too good to lose" je kao stvoren za vizualnu inspiraciju crvenom bojom, a i audio doživljaj kako originala tako i remixa (by Seamus Haji) itekako je inspirativan.

This time my Valentine's music inspiration is English singer-songwriter Rebecca Ferguson 

She became notable as the runner-up of the seventh series of famous British reality show The X Factor.  

Her first single "Nothing's Real But Love" was released in November 2011 on the debut album named "Heaven". Rebecca's latest music video for the song "Too good to lose" is all about red - watch the following video below plus take a listen to the remix by brilliant UK music producer Seamus Haji!

While thinking about the inspiration for my Valentine's Day post I realized that I just can't publish another glamorous fashion editorial, although I found a special one that consisted of photographs which had the "effect of flames" on them. Fire and flames will always stand as symbols of love but glamorous hair, golden suits and glitter - they just won't do. So I eliminated the editorial and remembered that a picnic theme is the pefect inspiration for my love post. Real love and the emotion behind it is so simple and modest - just like a picnic on a sunny day. Unfortunately, marketing made us forget that nature, life and love are free and they can't be bought by couture dresses and gems.




CROATIAN:
Namjeravala sam povodom nadolazećeg blagdana zaljubljenih objaviti editorial u kojemu su modne fotografije prošarane efektom vatre. Iako se taj "efekt plamena" baš lijepo veže uz asocijaciju ljubavi i editorial se čini više no prigodan, shvatila sam da je preglamurozan za post posvećen Valentinovu.
Ljubav nije glamur, to nisu šljokice, zlato, svila niti bogate kovrče. Kao inspiracija za pravi feeling Valentinova poslužila mi je tema piknika. Iako nikada nisam bila na pravom pikniku, ne znam ima li boljeg primjera za postizanje povezanosti sa prirodom, životom, jednostavnošću i istinom. A baš to je ljubav, samo što upravo ta jednostavnost ne paše marketinškim stručnjacima jer čovjeka ne potiče na materijalnu potrošnju.
